Phil Jestin, Assistant Manager

Ontario Clean Water Agency

This letter services to confirm our association with Michael Engineering Services, who are Water Control Gate Specialists.

This company has been contracted by us to replace eight sluice gates in our Main Pumping Station. These gates measure 1.1 metres wide and 1.7 metres high. This is a very difficult task because of the size of the sluice gates, and their location at the top of the wetwell, approximately 6 metres above the bottom of the well.

Four sluice gates are already installed, and it is expected that the fifth will be installed by early next week. We are very satisfied with the work done by this company to date.

They have complied with all safety procedures required to do this work, and has displayed knowledge and competence in the performance of their job. They have also displayed honesty, professionalism, and integrity in our dealings.

Based on their performance we will continue to work with this company in the future, and we are pleased to recommend them to others who might require their services.

P. Wimmer, P.Eng

On behalf of the North Bay Wastewater Treatment Plant of the Ontario Clean Water Agency, we would like to thank Michael Engineering Services for their quick response to our call.

Our plant maintenance staff appreciated the extra time that you spent working with them on the repair and set-up of the sluice by-pass gate. Your knowledge of the job and contacts to complete the task quickly and efficiently were greatly valued.

The follow-up detailed report is also very much appreciated.

Mike Bell

Assistant Operations Manager, North Bay/Espanola Hub

This is to inform you that I have conducted business with Michael Engineering Services and recommend them with complete confidence. All of the work performed by Mr. Michael Grealey and his associates was completed in a highly satisfactory manner.

A significant volume of partially treated water was being wasted at one of our water treatment plants because of several large cast iron sluice gate valves were leaking. After assessing our needs, Mr. Grealey offered some recommendations that resulted in saving us process downtime and money.

Mr. Grealey has always been most helpful in providing valuable information and advice. I highly recommend his services.

Elvis Oliveira, B.Sc., Supervisor Plant Operations

Operations and Maintenance, Regional Municipality of Peel
