Our Ontario Engineering Company History
Originally our engineering business began as a sole proprietorship in 1996 and became Michael Sluice Gate Services Inc. in 1999. In 2008, Andrew and Michael became partners and together they created Gate Tech Industries Inc. They felt the name of the new company was bolder, more progressive and modern.Their first projects began with water treatment plants for the Niagara Region and the Region of Peel. From there they introduced themselves to the City of Toronto where they continue to acquire work at the Ashbridges Bay Sewage Treatment Plant.
Now after 20 plus years of experience, Gate Tech continues to serve the needs of consulting engineers, general contractors, facility managers and maintenance personel involved with water & sewage treatment facilities all across Canada and abroad.
Gate Tech is most efficient with a 3 man crew on site. We have never encountered a project that was too big for us to handle.
On large municipal projects, general contractors frequently carry us as a subcontractor responsible for the completion of gate repairs and upgrades as outlined in the contract specifications.

Starting on his own as a proprietor in 1996, creating Michael Sluice Gate Services in 1999 and becoming Gate Tech Industries Inc. in 2008, he has provided gate erection and installation supervision for clients across Canada and abroad".
